MISCELLANEOUS SHIPPING.

The Martha Birnie was seen from the Semaphore Station during Wednesday, but so slow was her progress that Thursday morning arrived before she was boarded, and then it was at a Iong distance west of the jetty. She has a large parcel of gunpowder, which will be discharged at the magazine before the vessel proceeds into harbour. Fine weather marked the early part of the voyage, but after the vessel's rounding the Cape some bad weather supervened, and up to the time of her arrival no incident of special note occurred.
