The Fleets

Lloyd Royal Belge

Formed in Antwerp in 1915 by the amalgamation of three companies, Antwerpsche Zeevaart Maatschappij, Scheepvaartmaatschappij Gylsen and Belgische Reederi. In 1930 the drop in freight rates caused a serious shipping slump and the company was taken over by Compagnie Maritime Belge.
