Quebec - 17th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, August 15th 1824

Full Heading Titles showing abbreviations in bold:

Many of the cabin passengers were visitors from the United States. They most likely travelled up the Hudson River to Albany, then the Champlain Canal to Lake Champlain to the Richelieu River to the Chambly Canal to Montreal on the St. Lawrence River. From Montreal they took side-trips to Quebec City, which is why they are found travelling on the steamboats, back to Montreal. They can be found staying at the (Exchange Coffee House) Exchange Coffee House (Exchange Coffee House) and the Mansion House (Mansion House) Hotels during different periods. Several of these American cabin passengers had travelled from Montreal to Quebec City on the 12th August, so have spent a couple of days sight-seeing before returning to Montreal.
