List of Emigrants selected by Mr. J.B. Wilcocks per Bussorah Merchant

For many years Mr. James B. Wilcocks was the chief Agent for the Emigration Commissioners, for the west of England, based at Plymouth. He selected Emigrants for Australia and British North America. He had long been engaged in Australian emigration, both as a Government service and for private self-supporting emigration.

Mr. Wilcock's list below, numbered 48/1B, is undated, but contains the names of many of the emigrants who are known to have sailed to South Australia aboard the Bussorah Merchant. It contains names of some indicated above simply as "wife" or "child" but also contains names which don't appear on the list above, some of whom could possibly be alternate, or more likely, the correct spellings of some emigrant names. Those who didn't sail on this ship, may have sailed earlier or later, on another vessel.
