Passengers: W.S. Chauncey Esq., Civil Engineer, lady & four children ; Miss Chauncey ; W.B. Bates Esq. ; Mr. R. Nolleth ; W. Thring Esq., lady & four children ; Mrs. Goldsborough ; Octavius Hammond Esq., surgeon-superintendent, lady & three children and one daughter born September 4th, in the cabin and 219 emigrants in the steerage. . . . — 21st ship from England to S.A. with government passengers for 1849 ; 1 births and 7 deaths on the passage ; Octavius Hammond, surgeon-superintendent.
