Monday August 15th, 1853:— . . the ship Gipsy, 496 tons, Bolton, Master, from Southampton, 15th May. Passengers: Mr. Boykett and family, Miss Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Burdling and two children, Messrs. Tapeton, Seerle, Jones, Middleton and Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Lowniswick and Servant, in the cabin; — 10th ship from England to S.A. with government passengers for 1853 ; unknown number of births or deaths on the passage, —?—, surgeon-superintendent.

* submitted: Just to let you know that the passenger Green on your passenger list is Sarah Kellaway Green of Weymouth, who later (1859) married John Banks Shepherdson (Stipendiary Magistrate at Wallaroo/Kadina/Moonta).   The passenger Allen is Gabriel Allen her “adopted brother” who worked for the Shepherdsons after the marriage....
