Thursday August 23rd, 1855:- the barque Lismoyne, 506 tons, H. King, Master, from Southampton May 6th
Passengers: Mr. J.S. Milner, surgeon-superintendent in the cabin and the following emigrants in the steerage. . . .
28th ship from England to S.A. with government passengers for 1855 ; 5 births and 2 deaths on the passage ; James Stokes Milner, surgeon-superintendent.

506 tons, 3 masted barque, built 1845 Poole, 116.2 x 29.4 x 19.1, owner D. Thompson, Glasgow.
Arrived from Southampton on the 22nd August with 215 souls. She was commanded by Mr. Henry King and Mr. J.S. Milner was the Surgeon-Superintendent. 5 births and 2 deaths were the casualties before final disembarkation. This ship also arrived in good order-contentment prevailed on board ; but as usual, the majority of the single women were selected from a most ineligible class of persons.

This family was originally planning to sail on Octavia, but delayed because of an ill child. That child, Matilda age 2, died at Southampton, 2nd quarter of 1855. Another Wilsmore family shown at this URL as having sailed (John & Mary), appear to have sailed earlier in 1855 on the Octavia.
