Tuesday February 20th, 1855:- the ship Rodney, 900 tons, Frazer, Master, from Plymouth November 21st [1854].
Passengers: Mrs. Morgan, Matron ; Mr. John Brownfield, surgeon-superintendent in the cabin and the following emigrants in the steerage. . . .
6th ship from England to S.A. with government passengers for 1855 ; 6 births and 7 deaths on the passage ; John H. Brownfield, surgeon-superintendent.

ship Rodney
Sailed from Plymouth on the 21st November and arrived on the 20th February, bringing to the Colony 321 souls. Seven deaths and six births took place at sea. The ship arrived in very good order-harmony and contentment prevailed on board.
